How to cosplay the 11th Doctor, part 1 of 2

Image
The 11th Doctor. A "madman in a box", as he called himself. An old man stuck in a body that looks infinitely younger than he actually is. Today, we are going to learn how to dress up as the 11th Doctor (obviously). So let's begin! The Tweed Jackets Throughout his tenure as the Doctor, Matt Smith mostly wore a brown tweed jacket. Now, for cosplayers on a budget, any of these is fine, but for people interested in detail, he wore 3 types of tweed jackets. 1. The Donegal Tweed (series 5) This is the first jacket the 11th Doctor wore on-screen. It has blackish leather elbow patches and brown leather football buttons. 2. The Harris Tweed (series 5) This is a somewhat lighter jacket, compared to the Donegal one (though this colour difference is not seen in the pictures). It has dark brown leather elbow patches. 3. The Shetland Tweed (series 6 & 7) This has a prominent pattern compared to the other two. So, now I'm going to try s

Ah, the Twelfth Doctor. The originally cynical, pragmatic Doctor, whose grumpy façade gave way to reveal someone who is very much a teenager in an old man's body, the total inverse of his bowtie-wearing predecessor. Someone with a minimalist, but stylish attire. My fave Doc. Today, we'll see exactly how to emulate his style (in case you didn't read the title). Let's go! The Constants Navy blue crombie coat with red lining (the actual screen-used one is custom, but I think this should do) Doc Marten shoes that look like this: Navy blue trousers (for series 8 at least) Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses for the sonic ones The Variables 1. Deep Breath/Into the Dalek/Mummy on the Orient Express ending/Flatline/Dark Water/Death in Heaven (heck, mostly all of series 8) Black John Smedley cardigan (Deep Breath/Into the Dalek) or black waistcoat (all the others) White shirt 2. Robot of Sherwood/Time Heist Purple shirt 3. Listen/The Car

Hello, fellow Whovian bloggers (and others too, of course)!

Hello, fellow bloggers! I'm Neel Amonkar, and this is my first post on Blogger! (As if that wasn't obvious already. Sorry.) I got the idea to make a Doctor Who-related blog after looking at the most prominent one on the Net, Blogtor Who. I'm really passionate about Doctor Who, and consider it to be one of the (if not THE) greatest science-fiction show ever created. I've been watching it since Season 1 of the revived show. I love Doctor Who (again, obvious), writing and sharing my opinions with others, so this was a natural choice for me. Now, on this blog, I am going to be posting things like episode reviews, series reviews, character overviews, fun Who-related things you can do, how to cosplay as certain characters, and much more (that I haven't decided yet. 😜) I quite sincerely hope that all you fans are able to enjoy this. I'll be posting all these things once per week (if time permits) and I'll let all of you know if I can't post for some reason.
